Guidelines "If you receive a Citation":

If you receive a citation (ticket), it will reflect a court location and a court date.  You are to come to the appropriate court on the date and time indicated to appear before the District Judge.

If you desire, you can pay your citation PRIOR to your court date either by mail or in person.    Mail payments to the address above.  Be sure to indicate your citation number and full name on your check or money order.  DO NOT MAIL CASH.

If you want to pay your citation in person you can do so at the Cherokee Village City Hall, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 4:00pm.  Citations CANNOT be paid at the Cherokee Village Police Department.

Paying your citation prior to your court date does not preclude you from coming before the judge if you want to on your scheduled court date.

If you have any questions concerning your citation, contact the Cherokee Village City Hall and ask to speak to a Court Clerk.

"What if you cannot make your assigned court date"

If you have an emergency and are unable to make your assigned court date you need to contact the Cherokee Village Police Department as soon as possible during normal administrative hours (Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm).  The telephone number is (870) 257-5225.  Only medical and life/death emergencies* can be rescheduled.  If you have an attorney, they should contact the CVPD on your behalf.  You must contact the CVPD before court starts on your scheduled date.

* You cannot reschedule your court date for the following reasons:
Work conflicts, transportation difficulties, childcare problems or financial concerns.
